Day 19 of 43--I am at 192.0 today. I took a little setback. I was at 190.8 and I went on a group outing yesterday--let's just say I ate things I wasn't supposed to..lots of things. I was afraid I would put on 5 lbs overnight after reading other blogs, but to my surprise it was 1.2 lbs. I skipped my injection last night so it wouldn't be negated, but right back on track today with diet and injection. Do I feel guilty--yes, but I think it made me realize how little I can really eat now and what a binge does to my body. I thought I would eat a lot of everything. I couldn't. I could only get a couple of bites of each thing down (whew! That's a good thing, or I WOULD HAVE gained 5 lbs or more.) Then came the insulin crash a few hours later. I couldn't stay awake on the way home (I wasn't driving, LOL). Having said all that, now I wonder what my next 2 load days are going to be like--I had already mapped out my plans on what/where I'd eat for the days. Seems like they will NEVER get here. I've still got several days of this way of eating, then low carb (Atkins induction diet for 6 weeks), THEN my load days. I'm on day 19 of 43--almost 1/2 way there!
Tomorrow is Easter. Although I'll see a lot of GOOD things to eat, I will brown bag my lunch and turn my head when it comes dessert time (I LOVE sweets). I will also pray tonight that God will help me stay strong.
Inches? I'd lost 6 as of 4/18/11.
I have some really weird dimpling and sunken places in my fat (esp. legs, stomach, and one arm). I've read elsewhere that this is where I've burned the most fat, and the body is trying to reshape itself. It looks a little strange, right now, however.
Oh, BTW--I'm no longer starving. In fact, I have to remind myself to eat some days, because I hardly ever feel hunger.

Wow!
This is day 11 of my VLCD diet. I have lost a total of 13.4 pounds since April 6. I've gone from 205.8 down to 192.4. Wow! I LOVE HCG!!! Seriously, I don't care what the critics say I'm losing pounds, and if it is a placebo effect, so be it--I'm benefitting by losing.
I'm not going to lie--I still get hungry, it's just not so bad. I tried increasing my medication, but that didn't work out so well. I have a seizure disorder, and I started having petit mal seizures. I backed WAY off! It's not worth it. So I get a little hungrier with the 125 I'm taking, but again, it's okay; as long as I'm losing weight.

Day Nine
Having not posted since Monday, I figured I'd better get on and post--I'll probably be posting every few days to a week, and not announce my daily weight. So:
4/11/11: 197.4 pounds. Not bad. I was hungry today, but not quite as bad. I wish I could hurry and adjust to this diet.
4/12/11: 196.9 pounds. Starving again today. I have decided to increase my HCG dose, to see if it helps with the hunger issue. Tonight will be my first night of the increased dose. (5,000 iu/bottle in 10 ml sterile water--increased from .30 ml to .35 ml.) = 175 i.u.
4/13/11: 194.0 pounds this morning!!! Yeah!! I lost approx 3 lbs. overnight! I was not as hungry today either. The only time I knew I was hungry was around mealtime (noon and evening). Wow, today was much better. I am finding that I am going to have to branch out and discover some other allowed foods. I have been eating a lot of chicken and steak. Also cabbage. Although I discovered this morning that canned sauerkraut is cabbage, water and salt Yum! I have been eating a lot of cabbage and salad. I still have 30 days left on this round, don't want to get sick of what I eat. I have been walking but need to increase the time walking. It's hard to talk and walk at the same time right now. It won't be long, though!

First Week
4/4/11: My first loading day. I was to eat increased fat to capacity today. I've had donuts, candy bars, mexican food, everything I could think of. I was so sick of food by the end of the day. I ate so much loading that I didn't get hungry until 9:30 p.m. Gave my 150 unit injection at around 9:00 p.m. We'll see how tomorrow goes.
4/5/11: 2nd loading day. Once again, doughnuts, candy bars, home cooked meals at a local restaurant and home. A huge piece of apple pie for dessert. No hunger today, but have developed a slight headache. 2nd shot around the same time at night.
4/6/11: First day of VLCD. Weight 205.8 I used my fruits as between meal snacks. I was ravished today and still have that aggravating slight headache! I was SO hungry before lunch I could have chewed my arm off. I ate my apple, and prayed for lunch. Same in the afternoon--ate my fruit as a snack and longed for supper. I drank almost a gallon of fluids and ran to the bathroom every 30 min to an hour. **No pics yet--I gave my camera to my son to use when his child was born a couple of weeks ago, and Memaw has left it with them for now to take pics of my gorgeous 3 year old granddaughter and handsome newborn grandson. Maybe someday I'll get a pic posted, but documentation of these babies are more important!
4/7/11: 2nd VLCD day. Weight: 201.4 (4.4 lb weight loss--I'm sure due to water loss yesterday) Still very hungry, and have a slight headache. Did the same as yesterday, but added my allowed piece of melba toast to my fruit snack. I do not have a scale to weigh my food on--my sister is also doing this diet, and after eyeballing what 100 gms of meat is, I brought about twice the meat today as yesterday. (I was guessing yesterday, and felt like I was eating morsels.) Don't put it off, go buy an electronic food scale that weighs grams and ounces. I got mine for around $20 at Walmart.
4/8/11: Weight: 200.2. Hungry, but not as bad. I have done really well with not craving sweets, and I love my sugar! However, I walked during my lunch today. I will try and pick a earlier or later time, as I could smell the food wafting out of restaurants. OMG I just wanted to stand and smell it, even though I couldn't eat it. Decreased my fluid intake to 2 liters combined, and haven't been in the bathroom as much today. Still have a slight headache.
4/9/11: Weight 199.4 This is day 4 of VLCD--it is Saturday. I did really well, being at home. Ate out today--grilled chicken breast and small green salad. Supper was steak and cabbage. I continue to eat my fruits as between meal snacks. No headache today.
4/10/11: Weight 198.4 Day 5 of VLCD--I've not been as hungry these last 2 days. Hungry, but not ravished. Headache is gone. I think my body is finally settling in to this diet. I was not so tempted by food that's not on my menu until I saw the Reisens by my husband's chair. I had to just walk away and get them out of my sight. I want to lose this weight soooo badly! It's very exciting to see the weight coming off every morning when you step on the scale.
